WELCOME TO FUTA BURSARY

Welcome to the Financial Management Hub of the federal University of Technology, Akure. The Bursary Department is charged with the functional responsibilities of maintaining financial records, rendering financial services and managing the financial resources of the University through the efficient application of accounting principles as well as best practices and procedures. It is headed by the University Bursar, who is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice- Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial services of the university. At the core of our work at FUTA Bursary is Accuracy, Financial Integrity and Probity.

The department, under the amiable leadership of the Bursar is fortunate to have seasoned professionals who are passionate about their work and committed to the University’s vision and mission.

The Bursary is the arm of the University that is responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.

The Bursar, who is the Chief Financial Officer of the University, heads the Department. He is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.

MISSION:

To provide a conducive environment that encourages prudent management of financial and other resources in producing highly motivated, competent and self-reliant manpower for task-oriented research and community services, best global practices and values in pursuit of excellence.

Furtherance to this, we provide efficient and sound financial management that will recognize the core values of integrity, accountability and ethical culture of always doing the right thing all the time.

We strive to undertake management of key University financial establishments and records, provide guidance towards establishing appropriate fiscal policies and practices.
